Lady Gaga Loves Britney Spears “Unusual You”
From Lady Gaga’s new iTunes Celebrity Playlist:
“Unusual You” (Track 8): This is such a great song, I listened to ‘Circus’ on the plane, and when I got to this song I stopped, and played it over and over. It’s so beautiful, and so sad, and I love the way it has an eerie sonic quality. As if the music was put into a funhouse mirror. Go girl. Great pop.

Rumored Official Setlist For Britney’s Circus Tour
BSC NOTE: Take this as a rumor! Just because this was sent in doesn’t mean it’s not fake!
A tour insider has sent in exclusively to BreatheHeavy.com what appears to be the official tour setlist for The Circus Tour Starring Britney Spears, as well as detailed information regarding the third act of the show:
“We’re really going after the whole Amy thing,” says the source. “It’s centered in a club and the stage will have a lot of props dividing it between a bar and a dance floor during this part… It will be a concept of two ‘Britneys’ - Amy and Britney’s night out. They’re doing crazy stuff with lighting, and they needed a lot of room for dancers so it will be very high energy.
There’s also a scene that’s meant to resemble Britney’s chamber, that follows the club sequence with Blur and lighter notes.”

Z100 Will Play A Clean Edit Of Britney Spears ‘If U Seek Amy’
New York’s top radio station, Z100, is dying to play Britney Spears’ newest single, “If U Seek Amy.”
But first her label is going to wash the song out with soap.
“We plan to play an edited, super-clean version,” says Tom Poleman, senior vice president of programming for Clear Channel, parent of WHTZ (100.3 FM). “We’re just waiting for a good edit.”
“Amy,” the third single from Spears’ hit comeback CD “Circus,” has kicked up a firestorm over the title phrase, which when spoken rapidly spells out a crude sexual phrase.
While popular music has a long history of double entendre, this is more like a single entendre, since the phrase in the song seems to have no other meaning.
Jive Records, Spears’ label, has promised a re-edited version of the song that cleans up the offending line, said Sharon Dastur, Z100 program director.
“The record label will be providing the edit,” said Dastur. “They’ve been letting us preview some potential options to make sure it’s appropriate.
“Last I heard, they were going to have Britney go back into the studio to re-record some tracks for it.”
The song caused some buzz when “Circus” was released, but it remained limited while two other songs were promoted as singles on the radio. (…)

Britney Spears Tour To Be Three Ring Circus In The Round
The layout for Britney Spears’ ‘Circus’ tour has appeared online, and it shows that the concerts will be performed in the round, with the audience surrounding a three-ring circus layout.
Ticketmaster.com shows there will be limited ringside seats available for the show, with general admission standing room in the remaining floor area.
The US leg of the tour kicks off March 3 in New Orleans, in her home state of Louisiana and wraps up April 28 in Chicago’s Allstate Arena.
As previously reported, a conservative parents’ group is protesting Spears’ new single, ‘If U Seek Amy’, claiming it is indecent for US radio stations to broadcast it during peak hours. However, the group’s objections have not prevented radio stations from airing the third single from Spears’ recent album ‘Circus’.

If U Seek Amy Censorship Controversy Leave Britney Alone!
The Following is a article from the website blog.limewire.com they make a very good point read there article below….
I rarely find myself coming down on the same side of an issue as Britney Spears, but today brings the exception that proves the rule. It seems the stern moms and dads of the Parents Television Council have deemed Spears too hot for prime time. But they’re not talking about the pop star’s raunchy outfits or the general insanity that might well make her a bad influence on their children. No, they’re upset about the title of one of her songs and want to make sure it won’t be broadcast between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m.
What, you ask, is the name of the offending track?
“If You Seek Amy.”
Yup, that’s it. Now, as those clever parents were able to discern, the title can be pronounced to sound like, “F-U-C-K Me.” While I’m not a fan of any sort of censorship, I can understand why a song that was actually called “F-U-C-K Me” would be unfit for broadcast. But no matter what it sounds like, if Spears is, in fact, singing “If You Seek Amy,” then I’m pretty sure her right to do so is protected. Once we start making laws that prohibit TV and radio stations from airing songs with lyrics that sound like someone spelling out a curse word, we’ll have created a pretty slippery slope for ourselves.

Rumor: Britney & Madonna: “If You Seek Amy”
We’ve just heard that Britney Spears and Madonna are going to be doing a scene together for Britney’s Circus Tour. The duo will be doing the routine to Britney’s third single off of Circus, “If you seek Amy.” Apparently Madonna is “Amy” and Britney is running after her. There is reportedly a video playing and then Britney will come out and sing and then, (in L.A. only), Madonna will come out for the last part.

Britney If U Seek Amy Music Video Details
Check out this awesome If U Seek Amy FAN MADE VIDEO above!!!
This was posted on Exhale by a member named Kyle who is a Britney insider and has supplied correct exclusive information in the past!
…..
I will say this about the concept - it is brilliant. Very original and thoughtful. Should be a beautiful video while still being semi-taboo. Should also create some controversy (especially among fans). Britney thought of this idea. Her management and label signed off of the treatment. Just keep that in mind in mid-March when you get to watch this gem.
-kyle
He also said that the director is not David LaChapelle.
and He also said earlier, last week:
“Video shoot is scheduled for first week of February. Single released in mid-March. IUSA was decided, literally, at the last minute. Let’s hope that UY is the fourth, and not OFU (well I personally hope, at least).

Britney (and her abs — damn!) is wearing Lisa Kline J’aime Drawsting Pants which benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation. Sadly, they don’t make these pants anymore, but there is a lot of cute Pink Ribbon Gear on the Komen Foundation site if you want to get Britney’s look and support Breast Cancer research.

Britney’s Agenda For 2009 Includes Touring And Some Controversy
Singer’s next single, ‘If U Seek Amy,’ creates profanity issue for radio stations. It’s Pop Week here at MTV News, and that means we’re catching up with and getting to know everyone who’s going to make a splash in pop music and culture over the next 12 months. Whether they’re just arriving on the scene or are already the name on everyone’s lips, these are the artists we expect big things from in 2009.

Britney Spears ‘If U Seek Amy’ Poses Censorship Problems For Radio
Check out The radio Edit above.
Profanity in pop songs is old news. Hell, the chorus to Christina Aguilera’s recent single, “Keeps Gettin’ Better,” kicks off with the phrase, “Some days I’m a super bi—.” That one is easy enough for radio stations to edit out in order to avoid any fines from the FCC or threats to yank their licenses.

Billboard Reviews “Circus” (The Single)
Call it a comeback. After a No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 with “Circus” and the chart-topping peak of the first single, “Womanizer,” the title track from Britney Spears’ sixth album is her first top five start on the Billboard Hot 100. Besides the image overhaul with a return to the Spears of old, Brit has recorded her most mature, musical album to date, with hook-heavy tunes and more important, fully engaged pop vocals with little vocoder assistance. “Circus” finds Spears in the more-than-capable hands of Dr. Luke (Pink, Katy Perry), who surrounds her with an electronic cyberpop landscape, while Spears spits out lines like, “There’s only two types of guys out there/Ones that can hang with me and ones that are scared.” Gotta love it. While her life has often resembled a circus—to which the public has ringside access—it appears Spears is now the ringleader instead of the main attraction. —Chris Williams

Britney’s Year in Review: Music!
2008 was such a whirlwind year for Britney’s music. There is no better time to sit back and reflect than now, with 2009 right around the corner. Here is a quick little recap of ALL the amazing things Britney did in her professional music career this year.
In the very beginning of the year, Britney’s third single ‘Break the Ice’ from her fifth studio album Blackout was released. The song reached number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. The music video debuted on TRL on March 17 featuring a very sexy anime version of Brit.

Britney’s Hot Year: Things Keep Looking Up!
Britney has made tremendous strides this year in what isn’t really a comeback because she didn’t go anywhere! Britney’s music was only part of her impressive year. Here is a recap of the rest of Brit’s exciting 2008!
Britney really caught people’s attention this year when she made a guest appearance on the sitcom How I Met Your Mother on March 24. Her appearance gave the show its highest ever ratings, and it was no surprise she was invited to guest on a second episode that aired May 12. She was later nominated for a People’s Choice Award for the role.
One of the biggest events of the year was September 7, when Britney turned heads in her Atelier Versace dress at the MTV Video Music Awards. Aside from winning three categories, Britney also opened the awards for the third time in her career and did a skit with Jonah Hill.
The John Philip Sousa Middle School in the Bronx named their music studio in honor of Britney at the beginning of October. Brit attended the ceremony and donated $10,000 to the music program.
November 30 was the night Britney: For the Record aired in the U.S. and other countries across the world. The documentary focused on 60 days of Britney’s life, starting with the VMAs. The same night Britney was in London for her X Factor performance. She stopped at local hotspot G.A.Y. to celebrate her birthday 3 days early. The club was PACKED!
December 2 was a big day for our girl. Aside from her big visit to Good Morning America, Britney had a birthday party at New York City club Tenjune. Her family, dancers, choreographer, assistant, agent and even old friend Lance Bass were in attendance.
The December 11 issue of Rolling Stone featured Britney on the cover with the headline “Yes she can! BRITNEY RETURNS.” The beautiful photos showed that the sparkle was definitely back in Britney’s eye and people were noticing it more and more — so much that Entertainment Tonight named Britney the top of their Hot List for 2008.
Based on the way things have gone for Britney this year, it looks like the stars are the limit for 2009. It just keeps getting better and better and I’m sure the coming year will be the best yet!
